Bushehr Airport will have a connection to Dubai, the airport’s director revealed to Tinn. Bushehr is one the of many Iranian secondary cities who recently have gotten a new direct air route to one of the seven emiratis.
Bushehr previously had direct a route operated by Aseman Airlines to Dubai, however, it was cancelled in December 2015. Since then, the airport has negotiated with foreign airlines to resume the service. Nonetheless, the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization (CAO.IRI) opposed the foreign airline’s demands and instead the rights were granted to an Iranian airline.
The flights will commence from week 25 with two weekly rotations on Tuesdays and Fridays, operated by Kish Air.
Bushehr currently serves 77 weekly flights to Mashhad, Tehran, Isfahan, Khark, Ahvaz and Sari. Moreover, the airport considers to launch flights to Russia and South-East Asia if there is a high demand.
