AirAsia X has planned to resume its service from the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur to Tehran. The airline which suspended operations to Iran in 2012 due to “challenging economic and business conditions” in the country is now set to return after a 4 years hiatus.
The route, previous operated four times a week is now instead planned to be operational three times a week by the airline’s long-haul A330 aircraft, according to Airline Route.
The service to Tehran will start on 21st of June 2016 and the schedule is as following.
Flight D7777 departs Tehran at 01:05 and arrives in Kuala Lumpur at 12:45 local time on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Flight D7776 departs Kuala Lumpur at 19:05 and arrives in Tehran at 23:40 local time on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
