In March 2016, Korean Air was given the rights to operate flights to Iran after a competition with the rival Asiana Airlines. The airline is now entitled to four weekly passenger and cargo flights from Seoul to Tehran with start this year.
According to Air Cargo World, Korean Air Cargo and Uzbekistan Airways have launched a new partnership which will allow cargo flights to move within Korean Air Cargo’s network to reach Tehran Imam Khomeini Airport via Ubzekistan Airways’ Navoi Airport.
As of 29th April 2016, Korean Air Cargo will be allowed to feed on Uzbekistan Airways’ twice weekly service of B767-300F from Navoi to Tehran.
