Oman Air has in the summer schedule added plans to launch its second Iranian destination, Mashhad. Oman Air is currently only operating Tehran with 11 weekly flights, increasing it to 21 weekly soon. Starting from 1st June 2016, Mashhad will see daily flights from the Omani capital Muscat.
Oman Air has recently announced big plans for Iran. The airline is considering cooperation on a higher level with Iran Air, and wants to increase the flights to Iran with an overall 350%.
Oman Air flight WY453 leaves Muscat at 01:25 local time and arrives in Mashhad at 04:40 everyday as per schedule, making it a 2h 45m long flight. 50 minutes later the flight is set to return to Muscat and will arrive there at 07:35. The flights are operated by E175 and B737.
Oman Air has also expressed its consideration to launch flights to Shiraz.
