Iran Aseman Airlines and Iraqi Airways have both started new routes in Iran this week. While Aseman is flying domestic, Iraqi is connecting Kerman to its capital.
On the 17th February 2016 Aseman started a one weekly service from Ahvaz to Asalouyeh. The flight are scheduled to leave Ahvaz at 07:10 and arrive in Asalouyeh at 10:50, every Wednesdays. The service is operated by Aseman’s newly operational B737-400. It is worth mentioning that Mahan Air also flies the same route.
On the same day Iraqi Airways launched flights to Kerman, its fourth destination in Iran after Tehran, Mashhad and Tabriz. The flights will arrive to Kerman at 18:00, and leaves one hour later back to the Iraqi capital. The flights are operated by B737-800. Since years Iran Air and Mahan Air operate one weekly flight each to Najaf.
It is worth mentioning that Kerman International Airport is connected to Tehran, Mashhad, Kish, Zahedan, Isfahan, Shiraz, Tabriz, Ahvaz, Dubai, Najaf and Baghdad via the airlines Iran Air, Mahan Air, Aseman, Zagros Airlines, Kish Air and now Iraqi Airways.
