Taftan Air has announced resumption of operations after 2-3 years of being inactive. The airline operated two Fokker 50 during that period, however, according to the schedule those will not be used. In October 2015, Taftan Air acquired one MD83 (UR-CJQ), previously belonging Iran Air Tours which completed all necessary tests at Mashhad Airport. This sole aircraft is planned to run all flights with operation days Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. During those days the aircraft will fly most of the time, with a break of 1-2 hours between the flights.
The date Taftan Air will resume operations is not announced.
As per the schedule, Taftan Air has planned service to Tehran, Qeshm, Bandar Abbas, Mashhad, Ahvaz, Kish and Zahedan.
