The Gulf Air representative in Iran has issued a statement to the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), stating that Gulf Air will suspend flights from Bahrain to Iran on 14 January 2016. The statement issued by Gulf Air is not seen as official, as ICAO still expects the Bahraini equality to confirm the report. ICAO tells to Tinn.ir that the announcement is very unfortunate as flights to Bahrain have a very high cabin factor.
This affects 14 weekly flights operated by Gulf Air to Tehran, Mashhad and Shiraz. Also 9 weekly flights operated by Iranian airlines are affected.
