Iranian Airlines to Import 10 Aircraft, but not Russian

Iran’s CAO deputy head Mohammad Khodakarami announced today in a ceremony that some local airlines have signed agreements to in total import 10 aircraft with the average age below 11, by the end of March 2016 Mehr News says. “Efforts have been made to import aeroplanes with a lower lifespan”, he noted. Khodakarami also underlined that these aircraft are not bought from Russia as they aren’t approved by Iran’s CAO to enter air traffic in the country.
