Air Arabia, a low-cost carrier based in the UAE, is looking into launching flights to Ahvaz, their 7th destination in Iran.
The Khuzestan province’s airport director, Mohammad Reza Rezaei, announced Air Arabia’s interest in launching flights to the provincial capital of Ahvaz. Talks with the airline are currently underway and the airport director has made clear that a new Sharjah – Ahvaz route exclusively can be launched if the 3-weekly service to Abadan, another major city in the province, will not be ousted.
The negotiations have reportedly finished and Air Arabia is currently awaiting Ahvaz Airport’s final approval before the start.
Air Arabia operates direct flights from Sharjah to 6 destinations in Iran; Tehran, Mashhad, Shiraz, Lar, Isfahan and Abadan.
